The Mayor's charities

Cllr Sayani has chosen to support EQuIP and RoSA as her Mayoral charities.

EQuIP, the Equality and Inclusion Partnership, is a charity working across Warwickshire to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion. For over a decade, it has provided support, advice, and training to individuals and organisations throughout the county.

Previously known as the Warwickshire Race Equality Partnership, EQuIP adopted its current name in 2017 to reflect an expanded mission: supporting all individuals who experience discrimination. Its overarching goal is to challenge and eliminate discrimination in all its forms, helping to build a fairer and more inclusive society.

RoSA is a leading charity established to provide confidential services for survivors of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse throughout Warwickshire and surrounding areas.

Founded in 1991 by local volunteers, RoSA was created to provide independent support for survivors of rape, sexual violence, and abuse in the Rugby area. From the outset, it took an inclusive approach - supporting all survivors, including men and partners - at a time when many services did not.

By 1993, RoSA had become a registered charity, and in 1997 National Lottery funding enabled it to establish a base in Rugby town centre, expand services, and train more counsellors. Today, RoSA is a well-established, specialist organisation offering holistic support across Warwickshire. It remains committed to its founding values while delivering professional, ethical services in line with recognised counselling standards.
